Usability Study
I conducted two usability studies consisting of unmoderated questionnaires. The first was to determine if users found the user flow of the app to be clear or confusing. The second was to learn what users thought could be improved.
Type
Unmoderated

Findings
There was almost unanimous consensus that the app was intuitive and easy to use.
Most users found the app to be refreshingly spacious and not crowded.
Some users wanted the rating sorting function to be less intrusive.

Accessibility
Considerations
Our research included participants with hearing impairments, yet they found no accessibility issues with the app.
The app includes complementary colors to provide high contrast for visually impaired users.
Feature buttons such as the ratings tab are located at on the right side of the screen, to to convenience most users, however, a left-handed option is being developed.

Takeaways
This project has taught me that users want lots of options and accessibility, but specifically included in a way that it doesn’t confuse or overwhelm. The use of white space has also proven to be integral to this.

Next Steps
Implement more methodologies in research including research interviews for more direct communication.
Incorporate a wider variety of participants for people with different kinds of colorblindness to be inclusive and expand our user base.
